Susan was given the opportunity to lead the process to review the existing reporting systems within the underground mining operations at Tanami. As a result she was able to recommend, design and implement a suite of reports and tools that are able to be utilized for maximizing employee performance.
Susan combined key technologies including developing a web-based application to create a suite of performance and attendance scorecards that are able to be used to benchmark performance.
Three key systems initiatives were developed and delivered to operations: Operational Reports and Analytics, Operator Scorecards, and Operator Roster and Leave Management systems. The reporting suite has been developed to assist the leadership team in understanding how their crew and the team members are performing comparative to other crews and team members.
The use of these reporting tools has given the mining leadership team the ability to review real time trends and ensure that maximum production is maintained by identifying and managing areas of concern as early as possible. The developed reports are currently being reviewed for replication by other global Newmont operations.
