Helen Gill

Studying Mechanical Engineering at James Cook University in Townsville, Helen received the Cannington BHP Billiton scholarship.

 

Helen has held numerous FIFO and residential roles in her 5 year career transitioning between operational and commercial roles across Australia.

 

Helen is currently employed as a Business Improvement Specialist at South32 GEMCO at Groote Eylandt.

 

Helen is passionate about improvement and excited about being able to make a difference in all aspects of the business.


Whilst working at an operation in Queensland, Helen was involved in a number of charity events as well as being actively involved in promoting the mining industry at her local university and high school. Part of this would be engaging in talks with students about mining and what its like to working for a global mining company.
