Shani Carson is the Member Engagement Manager at Engineers Australia. Born and raised in Darwin, Shani has over 20 years of experience working in various roles across government, private and not-for-profit sectors. Her diverse background has given her a broad perspective and skillset that she brings to her role as treasurer. Shani is passionate about increasing engagement in STEM in schools and has worked on various initiatives to promote the importance of STEM education. She believes that by increasing the number of young people who are interested in STEM subjects, we can ensure a brighter future for our society. In addition to her professional work, Shani is mother to two teenage children, average beach volleyballer and regular (slow) parkrunner. She understands the importance of balancing work and family life and is committed to supporting other women in the resources industry to do the same.| Shani Carson |
