Treasurer
Linda Young is one of the first WiR members, and was the inaugural Vice Chair. After a few years travelling Australia, Linda returned to the NT and was elected as Treasurer at the 2024 AGM, and is a member of the Audit and Risk Working Group since 2025.

With over two decades of dedicated experience in the minerals industry, Linda has held pivotal roles across Queensland, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory. Her career is marked by a commitment to operational excellence, strategic stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of diversity within the resources sector. As a former Director at Darwin Coordinators, Linda led significant projects that bridged industry and community interests, fostering sustainable growth and collaboration. Linda’s tenure with the Minerals Council NT Division further honed her skills in policy advocacy and industry representation, where Linda championed initiatives to enhance inclusivity and support for women in mining. Linda is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders and actively contribute to programs that encourage female participation in the resources sector. Her leadership philosophy centres on integrity, innovation, and a steadfast dedication to advancing the industry for future generations.
